Skip to main contentThis main floor space was not living up to its full potential. With large windows and a lovely view of the Rocky Mountains, it needed to be refreshed and updated to serve its family well. We did just that and created an open entertaining space for all to enjoy.
We removed the half wall and post that divided the living area from the kitchen and breakfast nook. We relocated the floor-plan-eating, dated corner fireplace to the centre of the wall and fashioned it with a stunning marble look. Large, luxurious and cozy furnishings make this living area one you just won’t want to leave. Doesn’t this make you want to curly up on one of those oversized chairs, cuddle up in that large-knit blanket and put your nose into a b0ok?
The kitchen cabinets were replaced by warm grey, soft-close cabinets and the countertops were updated with a light grey quartz. These were accented by a white subway tile backsplash. There is a place for everything in this kitchen, so it can always look as neat and tidy as it does here. Having ample storage is paramount in any functional design. The corner pantry was also treated to organizational updates. The breakfast nook was finished with a marble table and lovely grey dining chairs.
Flooring was updated throughout the main floor. Lighting was upgraded in the living/ kitchen area. The master ensuite received the same cabinets as the kitchen. Custom sheer draperies were added to the front room’s bay window.
All this beautiful home needs now is some custom art to complete this renovation.
