Awesome group to work with! They took the time to learn about our lifestyle and family and designed a kitchen around this. We absolutely love our new kitchen and how it works with us instead of us trying to work with it. As usual with renos, sometimes things don't go according to plan. If we were not satisfied with something, they went into action to adjust things until we were happy with the outcome. In some cases, changes resulted in better outcomes. For example, there was an issue with the ordering of the backsplash that we picked out. They were able to find a tile that we ended up liking better than the original tile at no additional expense to us. They were always patient, professional and accommodating and worked within our budget. We would highly recommend this company to others and will use them for the next stage of renos for our home. Be forewarned that their work is so good that we ended up including additional renos (e.g. redoing the hardwood floors, baseboards...). Not having this done would have taken away from the beauty of their work.

We feel peaceful, relaxed and joyful in our home at long last. After our initial, very informative meeting with brilliant, charismatic and elegant Krista, we felt totally comfortable diving into this project. Embarking on a home renovation is a really big deal but KHD has the design and construction process down to a seven-step science as referenced on their website. Our principal designer, Victoria, was fabulous. Her talent, passion, warmth, attention to detail and constant communication never failed to impress. The budget we arrived at together was itemized line-by-line and was extremely transparent, no hidden costs or surprises. All of our meetings were positive experiences which included necessary decision-making but also lots of laughter! The KHD team is a wonderfully happy one which speaks volumes. Krista has created an incredibly supportive work environment for her designers and the company attracts/contracts only top-notch trades. In addition to Krista and Victoria, office administrator Jenny, brand manager Britt and on-site project manager Adam all possess amazing energy and professionalism. Our home renovation was completed on time and slightly under budget which we assume is rare these days! We whole-heartedly encourage any and all to connect with KHD; you will be so glad you did!

We did our second renovation project over a 10 year period with Krista Hermanson and her amazing team at KHD. Our whole main floor was redone, including a beautiful new kitchen and living room. From start to finish, the process was well organized, professional, on-time, and beautifully executed. We love the final product and would recommend this team to all our family and friends!

I chose to have a consultation with Krista after I had done much research on Calgary designers and project managers. I was impressed by her web page, gallery of photos, great reviews and her desire to get to know you and understand what it is we were trying to achieve. After Krista came for our first consultation , we were pretty convinced that we would hire her for the job. She is very personable, very knowledgeable and has a sharp eye for design and all the details. Krista took the time to understand what we wanted to achieve and provided excellent suggestions and even possible changes that we had not thought of. After multiple visits and meetings, KHD provided a project plan and budget covering the timing and cost. The design team provided tasteful options for all design choices and helped us work through them. Our project started on time and the trades came as scheduled, and on time. Krista has trades she has worked with over the years and they were excellent. They were were professional, thorough, tidy and polite. Because of her thorough design and planning phases there were no surprises. Our renovation finished on time and on cost. The entire team was excellent and they did a fabulous job. We are so pleased with everything and would highly recommend Krista and her team to anyone planning a renovation.

From design to completion Krista Hermanson Design was very thorough, thoughtful and professional. The project team delivered the promised design. Workmanship was top-notch. As with any renovation certain issues were uncovered during demolition but were quickly and professionally addressed. We were well-informed of the construction schedule and the project finished on time. Considering the magnitude of the change (removing bearing walls, rerouting heating ducts, and rewiring the majority of the main floor) the project went smoothly and everyone all who see it complement the design and the work. It is like we're living in a new house. We would recommend Krista Hermanson Design without reservation. The "Hygge" is genuine!

We just can't thank you enough nor find the words to express how grateful we are for the incredible grace and style you have infused into our home. We just can't get over the effort and quite frankly love that you shared with us and the conviction to transform our home into a show stopper. Further to the heart of the matter, we received so many genuine compliments on our home today. The party was a hit and our daughter’s friends and their families loved being here. We felt proud and blessed to be able to host our friends in such an elegant, sophisticated, and homey environment. We just can't thank you enough for going above and beyond. We are so grateful.
