Sometimes a space doesn’t need walls torn down, or tile ripped out, what it really needs is a fresh set of eyes to reimagine it.
Your home should feel like you. Furnishings and décor are far more than “things”. They should reflect the lives of the people and animals who make memories within the home. Perhaps it’s adding a scented candle that brings fond memories from your childhood or it’s grouping the photos of your university backpacking trip through Europe. Maybe it’s a knit blanket that reminds you of the one your grandmother had at the foot of her bed. These things are as important as the structural changes of a home renovation to your home to make it more functional. The soft touches are what make it feel like yours.

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Furnishings and Décor
It depends on the extent of your project.
All projects require design meetings and design time. Be prepared for a site visit and one to three design meetings.
Furnishings also come with lead time and can take between two-to-six months.
Every project is unique and your selections may dictate your finish time.
Lead time refers to the time it takes from the moment you order a product to the day it is delivered. This includes manufacturing time and shipping time. The average lead time for furnishings is two to three months, but it can be up to six months. Custom pieces can take up to one year.
This is why it’s important to make design selections as early as possible.
Have you ever purchased furniture or décor and brought it back to the space only to realize it’s the wrong size? As professional interior designers, we won’t allow that to happen. One of the ways we prevent mismeasurements and surprise scale issues is to place furniture to scale within the footprint of your room. This allows us to ensure allowances for the best flow throughout your home. Furnishing layouts are required for all furnishings projects.
We offer several levels of service to suit your needs. Some clients just need a nudge in the right direction and others would like to be very hands off and allow us to use our professional judgment. While client input and approval will always be required, we are happy to provide varying levels of service so you can have the experience you want.
- Nudge in the Right Direction. In this option, after the initial site visit and design meetings, we will provide you furnishing layouts and/or art & décor layouts, furniture and décor purchase lists, and a design presentation with suggestions for the look and feel of your home. We will not be coordinating the purchase or delivery of the items.
- Collaborative Design Process. In this option, after site visits and design meetings, we will provide you furnishing layouts and/or art & décor layouts, furniture and décor purchase lists, and a design presentation with suggestions for the look and feel of your home. We will go shopping with you if desired or you can allow us to shop for you. You have final approval of all items. We can coordinate the purchase and delivery of the items. This is the most common option.
- Full Service, Hands Off Process. In this option, after the initial site visit and design meetings, we will provide you furnishing layouts or art & décor layouts, furniture and décor purchase lists, and a design presentation with suggestions for the look and feel of your home. You will have final approval and we will coordinate the rest.
- Home Outfitting. This option can be done with any of the three variations of the service offerings above. Home outfitting is when we help you with every thing from silverware to linens in your home. It’s a good option for those who are moving long distance and aren’t bringing much from their previous homes. It’s also good for those who are expanding or consolidating home items.
As with all of our projects, they are typically large. This isn’t to say that we do not take smaller projects occasionally. Please contact us to see if we have the capacity to help you with your smaller project.
