Why they came
This sophisticated farm house renovation was inspired by this adorable family’s farm roots. Relocating from small-town prairie life to the big-city of Calgary was a huge change. You can take a family from the farm, but you can’t take the farm out of the family.
Their longing was to incorporate elements of their Calgary heritage family farm into this large residential renovation.
How We Helped
Created detailed custom baseboard profiles
Used traditional kitchen cabinets in an antique stain
Replaced the floors with rich hardwood
Infused traditional detail into the new window profiles
We re-imagined the kitchen floor plan, added about 100 square feet of new foundation.
Re-defined ceiling slopes
Raised a dated, sunken living room.
- Updated exterior finishes to coordinate with the existing brick façade.
